Fall Traditions

The unseasonably warm weather delayed the fall colors a bit this year, but we still managed to find some idyllic color in Libertyville.

This family has chased the fall colors the past couple of years and this year we caught some in the beautiful twilight hour.

The kids love to be silly together and Dad fueled the energy with some high tosses! I shoot their sessions in a contemporary portrait style and we always leave some down time to catch the kids being kids.

The sibling love and childhood innocence were so fun to see through my lens, and I hope that they enjoy looking back on these moments for years to come.

A Few Fall Favorites

The air has a crisp to it and the first sign of color is beginning to show in the trees. Fall is upon us. It’s a great time to get outside and play, celebrate an expected child or engagement, cozy up with the family, and preserve these moments that will last for generations to come.

In the recent past, many of my clients have approached me with the intention of capturing a portrait for their holiday card. After their galleries were delivered, many of their favorite images were the moments captured in between the portraits.

Fall Family Portraits

Fall seems to be every Chicagoan’s favorite season and for me, it’s no exception. I gush over a tree line in full bloom and every child loves to play beneath the freshly fallen canopy of a tree.

It is always best to capture your family in the fall colors during the early morning or early evening light.

While we hunt for the best light and colors, expect to have spontaneous moments of playful fun in the leaves or tall grasses and remember to love up on one another.
